It’s time to stop talking about “peak oil,” people.  Not that it was ever actually a concern, really; the concept stemmed from a misunderstanding of the tools to apply to the problem.  The concept of resource allocation is an economic problem, not an engineering problem.  Talking about theoretical resource maxima may be interesting, but the question has always been how people allocate scarce resources, and we know the right way to do that (in contrast to the government/central planner way).
