When a legislature passes a stupid bill, one of the first things they do is exempt themselves from the consequences of the bill. It sounds like the government is trying to do just that with Obamacare. The stated reason in the article is because they fear a “brain drain” as a result of this stupid legislation.
If Congress and its staffers get an exemption, some enterprising House member should throw in a provision that exempts all Americans from this bill. Otherwise, Congress and the White House should suffer at least as much as everybody else for their stupidity.
On a similar topic, I will give John Boehner credit for reducing Congressional budgets by 20%. This, unlike most government “reductions,” is an actual cut.
