MLB won their arbitration case today against Barry Bonds. The arbiter ruled that MLB did not collude to keep Bonds off of a major league roster. Deadspin suggests that this is good for Bonds, as he’ll slowly work his way back into baseball, and indeed has been doing some work with the Giants. It would help him rehabilitate his image and get him in the HOF, which is very good.

All the same, any idiot can see that there was collusion. Bonds had an amazing season in 2007 and offered to play for the league minimum. Not a single team made him an offer. I find that highly suspicious. It’s over, so I guess it doesn’t matter, but it still bothers me somewhat.
