The Technocratic Failure

Daniel Greenfield has an article on why he does not consider contemporary Americans as “modern” in the truest sense of the word.  Along with it is a fundamental critique of technocracy and our contemporary cargo cult society, in which far too many people affect the symbols of modernity without having a true understanding of their nature.

  1. I can’t object to the article, but I can object to fetishization of the term “cargo cult.” 99% of the people who use it use it because it makes them sound smart. (You and your article used it correctly, but most people don’t.)
