- Kali Linux is now available. It is another penetration testing distribution from some of the guys behind Backtrack. I’m going to grab an ISO and build a VM when I get some time.
- People are insecure against targeted espionage attacks. That’s why espionage is so popular, after all.
- The surveillance society. It’s creepy, as you’d expect.
- Databse security is complex. This is true if you don’t have a database administrator. And if managers let devs talk them into inventing their own database systems (because they’re more “lightweight” and don’t have as much “complexity” as an RDBMS), you’ll end up with even more complex problems.
- The downside to having credit reports freely available. I’d still much prefer having them freely available and dealing with data loss than the most likely alternative.
