Emmanuel Todd & HBD Chick

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kevin Feasel @ 6:00 pm

HBD Chick shows that the effort she’s done working through inbreeding versus outbreeding as predictors of positive outcomes (higher IQs, higher social stability, etc.) fits in line fairly well with Emmanuel Todd’s summary of family types.

I admit that in my sociology courses, I was never a fan of Todd’s work, but I’m pretty sure some of it was Todd’s normative assessments and some of it my being Devil’s Advocate. ¬†When you take it apart like in the article, it definitely makes more sense to me.

  1. Sorry, I will never read a blog post from somebody who can’t bother to capitalize words correctly.

    • That’s too bad; she’s great for analysis with plenty of short essay-length posts of interest.
