More Mafia Goodness

It’s the Chicago way of politics, apparently.  Obama’s Car Czar has been linked to a kickback scheme.  But hey, what’re the chances that he’d do something corrupt?  It’s not like people who are corrupt once ever end up doing the same thing again later…

Speaking of czars, Obama now has more than the Romanovs ever did.  This can lead to nothing but wonderful things, I am sure…

And speaking of kickbacks, if you want your kids to become successful, have them become lobbyists.  One of the signs of a failed nation is when a large percentage of the entrepreneurial individuals in a country are dedicated to leeching off of the fisc.  Rather than creating new and innovative products, they create new and innovative ways to get money from taxpayers into their own pockets.

Also speaking of kickbacks, how long before this nets pecuniary results for certain individuals in the administration?  I’m not saying that you have to be corrupt to decide unilaterally how much to fund the IMF, even though this is Congress’s responsibility—after all, I am a believer in public choice theory and don’t need to use corruption as an excuse for bad political behavior—but given the number of individuals in and around the Obama administration that have shown themselves to be corrupt or willing to break the law for financial reasons (including his own Secretary of the Treasury!), it’s hard not to be, err, a bit dour on the propriety of individuals in this administration when it comes to the handling of money.
