Of Love And Hate

Filed under: Science!, Wacky Theories — Kevin Feasel @ 8:16 am

Via Marginal Revolution, scientists find a neurological link between love and hate.  This reminds me of something a friend of mine told me once:  to get a woman to love you, first get her to hate you.  Annoy her, insult her (without crossing the line), and act like an eight-year-old boy.  This will infuriate her to the point where she can’t stop thinking about you, and it’s inevitable from there.  I may have to cede that discussion to him…

  2. No, it was not. This was Nikola, whom you never met and thus whose first name you probably wouldn’t recognize. He was my foil in Freiburg (similar to Dan at Dayton), and we spent many an hour lamenting the bureaucracy of Germany. He and I were the political poles and top students in our class, so naturally, we got along famously. Sadly, he left after one year in disgust, so I had to shoulder the burden of disgust alone…
