Change You Can Believe In

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kevin Feasel @ 4:55 pm

I started this on another post but the number just got too long to keep in there…

- Change you can believe in:  Barack Obama’s campaign said that anti-Israeli Robert Malley would have nothing to do with Middle Eastern policy in an Obama administration.  Well, that’s changed.  He’s going to Egypt and Syria to “enhance relations with Cairo and reconcile differences with Damascus.”  Presumably by selling Jerusalem up the river.

- More change you can believe in:  Barack Obama certainly wouldn’t meet with Hamas…except that his aides already have… I don’t remember Hamas renouncing terrorism and noting that Israel has a right to exist.  Maybe they slid that press release in during the election hubbub.

- Even more change you can believe in:  all statements from Barack Obama come with an expiration date.  All of them. It’d just be nice if he told us when they expire.

That Obama is already pulling stunts like this means that, on top of foreign policy issues that will come up, investors are going to start assuming that whatever he says has no bearing on actual government policy, and as far as expectations go, that’s a very bad thing, especially in the middle of a recession.
