The ESPN league (Kevin’s league: The Moe Syzlak Experience):
QB: Tony Romo, Matt Schaub
RB: Shaun Alexander, Maurice Jones-Drew, Michael Pittman, Michael Bennett
WR: Marques Colston, Santana Moss, Kevin Curtis, Anthony Gonzalez
TE: Chris Cooley, Marcus Pollard
D/ST: Raiders, Packers
K: Robbie Gould, the token Brown Phil Dawson
This is a surprisingly well rounded team for picking 6th in a sixteen round league. I’m not thrilled with my QB situation, but I have a very solid running back tandem, especially when Larry Johnson goes down. My top two receivers are solid, but I’m not terribly deep at wide receiver. I am, conversely, extremely deep at tight end. My defenses are both underrated, and defenses do vary widely from year to year. My kickers are solid. I think this team should easily make the playoffs, barring a tremendous rash of injuries or an extremely unproductive Shaun Alexander.
And the Yahoo league (Team Max Power)
This was a 10 team league; I picked 9th out of 10.
QB: Peyton Manning, Brady Quinn (token Brown)
RB: Laurence Maroney, Chester Taylor, Adrian Peterson (the good one), Julius Jones
WR: Marques Colston, Anquan Boldin, Terry Glenn, Jerricho Cotchery, Calvin Johnson
TE: Jeremy Shockey
D/ST: Oakland, Dallas
K: Olindo Mare
This is team is going to be an offensive juggernaught, especially with my QBs and wideouts. This league plays QB, three WR, two RBs, one TE, a WR/RB and a WR/TE. My running backs are solid, if not spectacular. I’m not thrilled with my tight end or defenses, but Mare should get lots of points in New Orleans. I think this is by far the better of the two teams; I could see this team taking me to the Super Bowl.
